Jurgen Klopp reacts to Liverpool's exit in the Europa League playoffs

Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp shared his opinion about his team's impressive victory in the fifth round of the Europa League group stage against LASK.

"We are ranked first in the group, which, of course, is wonderful. In the last round, we will have an important match with Union, and although we will go there with thoughts of victory, we are pleased that we do not have to succeed. The tournament will be frozen for a short time, but exciting new games are waiting for us in January," Klopp said in an interview with the BBC.

The match between Liverpool and LASK took place on November 30 at the Anfield Stadium in Liverpool. This match brought Liverpool a convincing 4-0 victory, which guaranteed the team the first place in the group, collecting 12 points. In the final round, Liverpool will face Union, giving their fans the opportunity to enjoy another exciting match and support their team in the last test before the playoffs of the tournament.

This important event adds enthusiasm to all football fans, highlighting Liverpool's superiority in the Europa League and setting the stage for exciting clashes in the next stage of the tournament. Liverpool hosted the Austrian LASK in the 5th round. Not the most formidable opponent, although in the first match of the teams, the Reds even lost during the game. But the scenario did not repeat itself at Anfield. By the 15th minute, thanks to the efforts of Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz, Liverpool led 2-0. Mohamed Salah continued the rout in the second half, and Gakpo scored a double.

Jurgen Klopp's team has guaranteed itself a place in the 1/8 finals by coming out of first place. In 2016, Liverpool, led by the German, played in the Europa League final, but lost to Sevilla. Will Klopp take the trophy this time?
